Working with Financial Coach Elizabeth Maggio you will:

I work with families who want to empower each child and adult to make positive, conscious choices around handling and talking about money. Our work will focus on building understanding about financial issues, developing positive life-long values and habits, and empowering individual responsibility.

For families wanting to Raise Financially Savvy Kids, I offer several services:

Evaluation

We will begin by gathering information on each family member's preferences around spending, savings, borrowing and gifting, as well as the financial values and beliefs currently practiced in your family. Together we will explore which approaches and systems will work best for your family, including age appropriate

  • activities designed to provide your children hands-on experience in developing positive money habits

  • strategies on how to talk to your kids about money issues

  • resources to support healthy family habits around financial choices

  • empowering approaches that encourage kids to take responsibility and shift your role from manager to coach.

By the end of the Evaluation phase, you will have developed a parenting strategy to encourage the development of healthy money habits in your family.

Coaching

Many clients find that accountability and on-going support is the key to long-term success in implementing their parenting strategy. In this situation, a financial coach's role is similar to that of a personal trainer:

  • empower you to keep focused on your objectives

  • provide access to resources to support your progress as you go

  • teach you skills that will serve you in attaining your goals

  • address head-on the patterns, thoughts and issues that are holding you back

  • celebrate your successes.

On-going coaching utilizes a combination of email, phone and/ or in-person contact that enables that you maximize the support you need to be successful while minimizing the cost.
